Chicago MedMob: stay tuned!
Millennium Park or Chicago Cultural Center
If weather permits: outdoors in Chase Promenade,
SE corner of Michigan Avenue and Randolph Street
or
across the street in the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E Randolph St.
We will sit, weather depending, outdoors in front of the columns in the park across the street from the Chicago Cultural Center, South-East corner of Michigan Avenue and Randolph Street. If the weather doesn't allow for a comfortable sit, we will move inside the Cultural Center in the cafe/public seating area (78 East Washington Street).
The intention is to come together as a community, deepen into our inner peace, and shine our brightness to the world!
We will sit in a silent mediation for 30 minutes, followed by a 10 minute ‘sound bath’ to vibrate our internal realizations into reality. You can chant “om” or “ah” or any other syllable or mantra that resonates with your heart. This experience is open to everyone from all belief systems & all experience levels. Bring a cushion, Bring your friends, Bring your inner light & peace!
You're welcome to set an intention to meditate in honor of the Himalayan Institute's Year Long Global Meditation, Akhanda Jappa.
We invite you to join us for all of it, part of it, or come to hang out and bask in the peace. We invite you to come with your own deepest intention for yourself, your community, & our planet.
MedMob is a Global Flash Mob Mediation Movement unifying to expand positivity to every walk of life. Every meditator comes with their own deepest intention for themselves, their community, and the world.
MedMobs happen in highly visible places with the intention of exposing and inviting the world to the benefits of meditation and collective prayer. The collective unification of intent and prayer has been proven by numerous studies to increase personal health and lower crime in big cities.
Now imagine the entire world meditating together! This is MedMob's vision.
