Here I am with my most awesome 7 year old nephew in NYC over Thanksgiving weekend. Here are two lessons I'd love for him to learn in his long and glorious life.
This blog talks about regrets of the dying. They have regrets like wishing they didn't work so hard, they said what they felt more, they stayed in touch with their friends. Read this great blog entry for more lessons we can all learn.
My good friend Paul Hnatiw told me about a great meditation that transforms wealth consciousness. Nephew Maddox should learn this. Shifting from a greed/hoarding mentality to a realization that money is just a form of energy that must flow freely. Think of money as thank you notes and be grateful every time you give or receive it (even bills and taxes). If there is gratitude greed cannot exist. Than sending that energy into the Earth, Wall Street, and governments around the world!
There are many lessons I want Maddox to learn, lessons that I need to re-learn, myself. I plan to stick by his side on our respective paths towards self understanding in this life.
